He made mistakes, he was not wholly pure, but he was still an incredible man. this one is tough, because I love Gandalf, but Dumbledore is the far more relatable, human character. He's the ultimate sidekick and Frodo never would have completed the journey without him. Sidekick: Love Ron, but gotta hand it to Sam here. I like Frodo well enough but he's not as interesting and I'm not nearly as attached to him as I am to Harry. But in the end the ring corrupted Frodo's mind so much more than Harry's scar. If you combine the locket AND Harry's scar, that's what you would get. Something that corrupted whoever held it, it called to it's master. Bellatrix was obsessively attached to Voldermort, but on her own she was just nuts. Sauroman was a more capable villian, he was a better helper to Sauron. If you read the Silmarillion, Sauron had a better teacher, he was.eviler. Oh, yeah, and when Gandalf died he came back! Nothing was hidden, there was no trickery involved. He understood what was at stake and Frodo knew as well. ![]() Sam was a better sidekick than Ron (Sam actually stuck around through everything) But Hermione is my favorite sidekick of all.
